Experienced Construction Foreman

This is a full-time, on-site Experienced Construction Foreman role based in the Portland, Oregon Metropolitan Area. The Construction Foreman will oversee daily job site activities, coordinate crews, and ensure work on exterior envelope systems is completed safely, on schedule, and to specification.

Responsibilities include reading and interpreting plans, organizing materials and equipment, assigning tasks, monitoring quality and productivity, and enforcing safety protocols. The role also involves communicating with project managers, general contractors, and inspectors, resolving on-site issues, and documenting progress and site conditions.

The foreman will support training and mentoring of crew members, promote efficient workflows, and help maintain a professional job site that reflects Elegant Enterprises’ standards.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on skills in carpentry and related exterior construction trades.
• Experience in Exterior Cladding systems and WRB systems
• Proven experience in quality control and adherence to project specifications and building codes.
• Ability to operate or supervise the safe use of heavy equipment commonly used in exterior construction.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating crews, interacting with project managers, and working with clients and inspectors.
• Understanding of civil engineering or structural principles relevant to exterior envelope systems is preferred.
• Several years of experience as a foreman or lead in commercial or residential construction, ideally in exteriors.
• Strong leadership skills, including crew management, scheduling, and conflict resolution.
• Commitment to safety practices and OSHA standards; safety certifications are a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites within the Portland area and surrounding regions.
