Principal Enterprise Architect

The Principal Enterprise Architect leads the design and evolution of enterprise-wide technology architecture, translating complex business needs into scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions. This role operates with significant autonomy, shaping architectural direction across systems and platforms while influencing key technical and business stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

• Define, evolve, and govern enterprise architecture patterns and standards that align technology capabilities with business strategies.
• Design and evaluate end-to-end architectures spanning applications, data, infrastructure, networks, and cloud environments.
• Map and analyze relationships, dependencies, and integrations across systems, platforms, business processes, and user communities.
• Provide architectural guidance for complex initiatives, ensuring solutions are scalable, resilient, secure, and sustainable.
• Assess architectural options and trade-offs, including total cost of ownership, risk, performance, and long-term value.
• Collaborate with business leaders, product teams, and technology partners to align architectural decisions with organizational priorities.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, modernize, and optimize the technology landscape through consolidation, reuse, and innovation.
• Serve as a technical thought leader and mentor, influencing architectural practices across teams without direct authority.
• Contribute to roadmap development by anticipating emerging technologies and their potential business impact.

Essential Skills

• 8+ years’ experience designing and implementing complex, enterprise-scale technology architectures across multiple domains.
• Strong ability to conceptualize abstract architectural models and translate them into actionable designs.
• Deep understanding of system integration, data flows, infrastructure platforms, and cloud-based architectures.
• Proven skill in evaluating technology solutions from both technical and financial perspectives.
• Demonstrated ability to influence decisions, drive alignment, and communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities with a focus on long-term outcomes.
• Experience working independently on highly complex problems with broad organizational impact.
• Required Education: Bachelors degree in field relevant to role (or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree).

Target Compensation: $164k - $197k annually + annual bonus
