We are seeking a Director of Sales to lead and implement sales initiatives aimed at increasing occupancy, expanding market share, and maximizing revenue across group, corporate, and event segments.
At Holiday Inn Portland Airport, part of the internationally renowned IHG Hotels & Resorts organization, you will have the opportunity to make a direct and impactful contribution to hotel performance, while cultivating strong client relationships and directing an active sales strategy.
This hotel functions as a Portland airport convention center with extensive meeting and event space within the premises. The property features six individual rooms, including ballrooms capable of accommodating from 10 to 1,000 individuals each. Additionally, the hotel hosts the Columbia Conference Center, which can hold up to 5,000 attendees.
The facility offers significant potential for group bookings and catering services.
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to enhance occupancy and ADR.-
Generate business from group, corporate, and event clients.- Foster relationships with corporate clients, event organizers, and local partners.-
Conduct sales calls, site visits, and presentations.-
Negotiate contracts and secure new business
Deals.- manage and expand the sales pipeline and prospecting activities.-
Collaborate with operations to ensure successful event execution.-
Partner with senior leadership on pricing strategies and revenue maximization.-
Represent the hotel within the local business and hospitality community
3–5 + years of experience in hotel sales.
Proven success in group sales, corporate accounts, and event
management. Strong understanding of hotel revenue drivers such as Occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship- building skills.
Experience with CRM systems and hotel sales tools, with Delphi experience preferred.
Self- motivated, goal- oriented, and highly organized.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with leadership.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends to oversee events

Pay: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
