Pay: $67,203 - $84,004
The Business Analyst I (BA) will be involved in requirements gathering, business process modeling, functional design, and ROI analysis for Parr projects and initiatives with business and technology components. The BA will work closely with Project Managers and other stakeholders to ensure completeness of vision based on business requirements.
The BA will be responsible for documenting business processes and leading business process re-design sessions when necessary. The BA may be responsible for other activities including research, reporting, and participating in design and testing of deliverables.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Supports the project process throughout the lifecycle
- Elicits requirements through interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, storyboards, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, event lists, business analysis, competitive product analysis, task and workflow analysis, and/or viewpoints
- Assists with re-engineering of business processes and identifies various solutions to business problems
- Authors complete documentation of process
- Works closely with the stakeholders to develop User and Functional Specifications documentation
- Leads requirements analysis and verification ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable
- Responsible for tracking, prioritizing and reporting status of multiple initiatives
- Writes requirement specifications according to standard templates, using natural language simply, clearly, unambiguously, and concisely
- Represents requirements using alternative views, such as analysis models (diagrams), prototypes, or scenarios, where appropriate
- Establishes and maintains productive business partnerships across the organization
- Manages expectations through direct and routine interaction with business partners
- May participate in other duties such as documenting test scripts, plans and system testing
- May work under more senior level IT staff for projects
- Other duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective system operations
Qualifications
- B.S in Business Administration, Computer Science or related disciplines or equivalent experience
- 1+ years of related experience analysis projects
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and to lead others in a directed effort to complete projects
- Strong verbal communication skills including the proven ability to communicate effectively on an individual and group presentation basis
- Skill in assessing stakeholder needs and asking probing questions to understand underlying needs and surface essential requirements information
- Demonstrated ability to work with employees and management at all levels of the organization including skill in working across organizational and geographical boundaries
- Strong analytical skills to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, deconstruct high-level information into details, abstract up from detailed information to a more general understanding, discern underlying true needs from presented user requests, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements
- Ability to adapt to changing requirements, manage multiple requests simultaneously, and effectively balance competing priorities using internal and external resources
- Exceptional written communication and documentation skills, including the ability to create business requirements, process documentation, functional specifications, reports, and user-facing documentation for a variety of audiences.
- Skilled in software including but not limited to Word and Excel
- Ability to learn new systems and applications
- Experience with Epicor ERP is strongly encouraged, with preference for Epicor Kinetic
- Ability to be self-managed and apply skills in problem solving and decision-making
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects to meet tight schedules and demanding targets while delivering high quality products; effectively managing competing priorities and reconciling divergent expectations
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to follow through on tasks

Working Conditions
This position works in an office environment with a computer. Ability to travel periodically for day trips to company locations is required, with additional overnight travel as business needs dictate.

- Must be able to operate and work from a computer and keyboard
