Role Overview

We are looking for a Mid to Junior level Full Stack Developer with 2–3 years of experience. The candidate should be comfortable working in a hybrid environment and able to attend in-person interviews in Salt Lake City.

Team Overview

• Integrating with extract applications related to event processing and sending them to downstream consumers
• Working closely with WI during client onboarding
• Fee-for-service model: scopes projects, creates cost estimates, generates client approval letters
• Backend mentoring functionality of the application
• Working on API Modernization Project (migrating from SOAP to REST to improve efficiency and modernize the platform)
• Team manages their own deployments using Open Tofu, GitHub, and AWS
• Core UI built using Angular
• Event processing using Kafka

Job Description

Client is looking for top Java and Node engineering talent that can, via skilled development, deliver enterprise scale customer facing services. This role will play a key part in developing clients next generation of life events planning solutions.

This position is based in Salt Lake City, UT.

The Team

As part of the Advanced Process Solutions division within Fidelity Investments, you will join a Scrum team of 6-8 highly hardworking individuals tasked with re-imagining the customer experience and associate workflow for client. The team will be focused on developing a new microservices based platform to support life events and beneficiary qualification process.

The product would be developed primarily using Java, JavaScript, Python and AWS services.

The Expertise You Have

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / similar technical subject area and/or equivalent experience
• 3–5+ years Java development
• 2+ years of experience with JavaScript and NodeJS
• Experience with AWS and other cloud-based development methodologies / best practices
• Proven understanding of REST concepts and developing REST APIs with Spring Boot or NodeJS
• Understanding of serverless computing and EKS-based applications is a plus
• Hands-on experience with Git, Docker, Python, Shell Scripts
• Knowledge of Cloud databases including DynamoDB and RDS is a plus
