Accounts Receivable Specialist

Anchor 3PL is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Representative to join our Accounting team. This role is responsible for customer billing, collections, payment application, and account maintenance while providing exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate will have prior Accounts Receivable experience, be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and possess strong organizational and communication skills. Experience in a warehouse, logistics, or third-party logistics (3PL) environment is a plus.

This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a growing organization while working closely with Accounting, Customer Service, and Operations to ensure accurate billing and timely collections.

Responsibilities

• Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and on schedule.
• Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices.
• Contact customers by phone and email regarding past-due balances and payment status.
• Apply customer payments and assist with account reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate customer account records and documentation.
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies by collaborating with warehouse operations and customer service teams.
• Perform billing audits to ensure invoice accuracy.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices, statements, and payment history.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and Accounts Receivable reporting.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling customer financial information.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year of Accounts Receivable, billing, bookkeeping, or accounting experience required.
• Experience with QuickBooks/ QuickBooks Online is required.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), logistics software, or the 3PL industry strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
