What Your Practice Will Look Like

This is a hands-on, client-facing role from the start. You will manage your own docket of consumer Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases with experienced paralegals and support staff handling much of the administrative load. A typical week blends direct client counseling, drafting petitions and pleadings, and regular appearances at § 341 meetings of creditors and hearings before the bankruptcy court.

With the guidance and support of experienced partners, our associates step into real responsibility quickly. You can expect to run your own cases and appear independently within months, not years.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Client Advocacy: You will develop lasting professional relationships by counseling clients, tailoring legal strategies to their financial lives, and guiding them through their legal journey.
• Courtroom Leadership: You will prepare and argue pleadings, motions, and objections before federal judges.
• Stakeholder Relationships: You will act as a key face of the firm by building lasting professional rapport with opposing counsel, trustees, and judges.
• Collaborative Strategy: You will join our national team of attorneys and paralegals in working to improve firm-wide practices, strategies, and technology.

Qualifications

• Bar Admission: Utah State Bar membership is required.
• Growth Mindset: A strong desire to personally master a complex practice area while developing into a leadership role within the firm.
• Skills: Excellent interpersonal communication, high emotional intelligence, sharp organizational skills, and strict attention to detail.
