Duties

• Prepare ingredients through slicing, dicing, and portioning according to recipes and menu specifications
• Cook a variety of dishes with precision, adhering to established culinary techniques and safety standards
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, mixers, and food processors safely and efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness of work stations by cleaning utensils, equipment, and surfaces regularly throughout shifts
• Assist in menu planning by preparing ingredients needed for upcoming dishes and specials
• Follow food handling procedures to ensure safety and prevent cross-contamination during meal prep and service
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and delivery in a timely manner

Requirements

• Previous experience with Peruvian food
• Previous experience with sushi
• Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and food preparation methods
• Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Experience with dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus
• Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen environment
• Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and catering experience is advantageous
