Teph Seal Auto Appearance is seeking an experienced, hands-on Area Manager to lead automotive detail and reconditioning operations across multiple dealership locations in Utah.

This is a field leadership role for someone who can build strong dealership relationships, coach shop managers and teams, solve problems quickly, and ensure every location consistently delivers high-quality service. The right candidate is organized, accountable, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced dealership environment.

What you’ll do

• Oversee daily operations at assigned dealership detail and reconditioning locations.
• Lead, coach, and support shop managers, foremen, and detail associates.
• Maintain strong relationships with dealership leadership, managers, and employees.
• Ensure Teph Seal standards, processes, safety expectations, and customer commitments are met consistently.
• Monitor quality, production, staffing, labor efficiency, payroll, supplies, and overall store performance.
• Address customer, employee, quality, and operational issues promptly and professionally.
• Conduct operational reviews, attend customer and manager meetings, and provide requested reports.
• Manage invoices, billing, payment follow-up, chemical ordering, and other administrative responsibilities.
• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and train team members as needed.
• Help improve employee accountability, retention, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
• Step in as needed to support operations, including driving, moving, detailing, and cleaning vehicles.

What we’re looking for

• At least 3 years of automotive detailing, reconditioning, dealership operations, or multi-location management experience.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, delegate, and hold a team accountable.
• Strong customer-service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience managing labor, staffing, productivity, billing, budgets, or profitability goals.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and dealership locations independently.
• Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and consistent follow-through.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on dealership operating hours and business needs, including Monday through Saturday.

Schedule

Monday through Saturday; hours will vary based on dealership operating hours, operational needs, and customer commitments.
