About The Role

We are looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer who thrives under pressure and is eager to solve complex problems. You should have at least 5 years of experience in front-end engineering, with deep expertise in React. If you want to be on the front lines of building AI-driven solutions that push the boundaries of what technology can do, this is your opportunity.

You'll be responsible for building robust, high-performance user interfaces that deliver seamless experiences for our customers. This is not a job for the faint-hearted—it's a chance to make an impact in a high-stakes startup environment. This is a full-time, in-office position located in Pleasant Grove, Utah.

Responsibilities

Design and Implement Front-End Systems: Build and maintain scalable and reliable front-end systems using React. The code you write will directly impact how users interact with our platform, and it needs to be intuitive, responsive, and visually appealing. Expect to be held to high standards of quality, performance, and scalability.

Collaborate with UX/UI Designers: Work closely with our design team to bring beautiful, responsive designs to life. You'll have a key role in defining how our products look and feel, ensuring that every interaction is pixel-perfect.

Optimize User Experience: Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of our user interfaces. Latency issues, usability challenges, and accessibility gaps are not just problems—they're puzzles you'll be solving daily.

API Integration: Integrate with backend services to deliver rich, data-driven experiences. You will collaborate with our backend engineers to ensure seamless data flow and consistency across the platform.

Code Quality and Standards: Write clean, maintainable code and enforce best practices. Conduct thorough code reviews and be proactive in ensuring our codebase is high quality, scalable, and easy to understand.

Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate across the board—backend engineers, product managers, data scientists—to integrate new features and maintain system cohesion. You'll be expected to challenge ideas and contribute to planning sessions to ensure we always deliver top-tier solutions.

Mentor Team Members: Support and elevate junior engineers by providing hands-on guidance, conducting rigorous code reviews, and fostering a culture of learning. We're looking for leaders who set high standards and pull others up with them.

Requirements

Mandatory Experience

• At least 5 years of professional experience in front-end software engineering, specifically in SaaS or artificial intelligence applications.
• Strong proficiency in React and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• This is an in-person position. You will work full-time out of our office in Lehi, Utah.

Technical Proficiency

• Proven experience building responsive and performant web applications.
• Strong knowledge of modern front-end build pipelines and tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel, NPM).
• Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX) and context API.
• Deep familiarity with RESTful APIs and WebSocket communication.
• Expert in version control (Git) and CI/CD tools.
• In-depth understanding of cross-browser compatibility, accessibility standards, and front-end performance optimization.

Problem Solving And Ownership

• Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and optimizing front-end systems. You need to be comfortable diving into the unknown, solving complex problems, and owning your solutions end-to-end.
• Ability to take full ownership of features and see them through from concept to deployment. If you're the kind of person who gets things done and takes initiative, you'll fit right in.

Leadership

• Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading technical discussions. You should be comfortable setting high expectations, giving constructive feedback, and raising the bar for everyone on the team.
• Ability to establish and enforce coding standards. We care deeply about the quality of our codebase, and you should too.

Agile & Scrum Experience

• Strong experience working in Scrum and Agile frameworks. You should thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly.
• Active participation in sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups. We want people who contribute and aren't afraid to speak up.
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment and help guide the team toward successful, on-time deliveries.
