THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an experienced Senior Heavy Civil Construction Estimator to become a key member of our estimating team.

This position is specifically focused on heavy civil construction and infrastructure projects. Our work includes underground wet and dry utilities, mass grading, roadway construction, asphalt paving, structural concrete foundations, concrete box culverts, concrete channels, bridges, retaining walls, and other cast-in-place concrete structures associated with public works projects.

This is not a vertical construction or residential estimating position. Candidates should have a strong background estimating horizontal infrastructure and civil construction projects.

The successful candidate will work closely with executive management and operations and will play an important role in the continued growth of our family of companies. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare complete and accurate estimates for heavy civil construction projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from plans and specifications.
• Estimate underground utility work, grading, paving, roadway improvements, and structural concrete work.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Develop detailed bid pricing and proposals.
• Analyze project risks and identify value engineering opportunities.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and project site visits.
• Coordinate closely with project managers, field personnel, and executive management during the estimating process.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 5 years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction.
• Proven experience estimating underground utilities, grading, paving, roadway improvements, and structural concrete work.
• Experience with public works, municipal, DOT, or other infrastructure projects.
• Experience estimating cast-in-place concrete foundations, retaining walls, box culverts, drainage structures, and similar heavy civil concrete work.
• Experience with HCSS HeavyBid, B2W, Agtek, InEight, Bid2Win, or similar estimating software is preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction means and methods for horizontal construction.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred but not required with equivalent experience.
