Daycare Assistant Teacher / Floater

We are seeking a motivated professional that is passionate about early education to join our school as a Preschool Assistant Teacher. We are a low-ratio, low group size center with full, rich curricula that foster child developmental growth and academic success.

In this position, you will assist with the direct care and supervision of the children in the center, providing for their physical, social, emotional, and educational needs in a safe, clean, and stimulating environment. Also assist the primary classroom teacher with activities and learning exercises and help the children maintain a friendly, inclusive atmosphere for all students.

Depending on needs and class sizes, you may take small groups of students aside for separate activities. You may also help maintain student records of behavior and progress and keep parents up to date on their child's development and learning.

Preschool Assistant Teacher Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist primary teacher with activities and instruction
• Direct care and supervision of the children
• Maintain records of student progress and needs
• Help keep learning areas tidy and safe
• Provide a welcoming, inclusive learning atmosphere for all students
• Support children with special or individual needs

Preschool Assistant Teacher Requirements and Qualifications

• (Prefer) Experience working with young children in a licensed educational environment
• A passion for early childhood education and helping children grow in positive ways
• First Aid and CPR certification
• Excellent communication skills

Position Available

• We're looking for a teacher/assistant/floater to work with multiple age groups from birth-school age.
• This is a part time position with possibility of turning into full time

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 years or older, have strong classroom management skills, be reliable, flexible and creative,
• be able to work well with both children and adults
• Childcare experience and education preferred
• CPR and First aid training is required within your first 90 days of employment
• Applicants must be able to clear Level 2 FBI background check prior to start
