Grade 1 Teacher – Hillsdale Christian Academy

Position Summary

Hillsdale Christian Academy seeks a dedicated and Christ-centered Grade 1 Teacher to instruct and inspire students in both academic excellence and spiritual growth. The teacher will support students in mastering established curricular goals, standards, and benchmarks while ministering to the hearts of students and their families.

Essential Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with curriculum standards
• Integrate a biblical worldview into all subject areas and classroom interactions
• Utilize effective 21st-century instructional strategies, including technology integration and differentiated instruction
• Maintain high academic and behavioral expectations for all students
• Assess student progress regularly and use data to inform instruction
• Foster a positive, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
• Communicate consistently and effectively with students, parents, and school leadership regarding academic and behavioral progress
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to support school-wide initiatives and a unified culture

Qualifications

• A personal commitment to Jesus Christ and alignment with the mission and values of Hillsdale Christian Academy
• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field (required)
• Teaching certification (preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with young children
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
