Full-Time | $70,000 – $90,000 per year (based on experience)

We’re seeking a Project Estimator with experience in civil construction who is proactive, self-motivated, and detail-driven. This role supports both estimating and project management, playing a key role in preparing accurate bids and helping manage active jobsite operations.

Key Responsibilities

Preconstruction & Estimating

• Review preliminary and final civil construction plans for bid preparation
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs (earthwork, utilities, grading, paving, concrete)
• Interpret and apply municipal and project specifications
• Obtain, review, and evaluate vendor and subcontractor proposals
• Assist with bid forms, scopes, and estimate documentation
• Support project handoff from estimating to operations

Project Management Support

• Work with PMs to support schedules, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
• Assist with quantity tracking, progress documentation, and project reports
• Attend site walks and coordinate between field crews, vendors, and suppliers
• Ensure project documentation is organized and accurate

Requirements

• Strong ability to read and interpret civil/site construction plans
• Excellent organization & time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient with Excel, Bluebeam, and general plan-review software
• Minimum 1 year of field experience on heavy civil/site projects required
• 3+ years of civil construction experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred

Schedule

• Monday – Friday
• Site visits as needed
• In-person, based in Tampa, FL
