Role Summary

My client is looking for an environmental professional with at least 7 years of experience in environmental consulting which must include experience in the FDEP Petroleum Restoration Program projects. Project management as well as previous managerial task experience is a plus as well as this role involves the mentoring of junior staff and project leadership.

This role will be joining a team of 50 in the Florida region, joining a nationally ranked firm and key contractor for the FDEP PRP.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manager FDEP Petroleum Restoration Program (PRP) projects from inception to completion, ensuring along with the team that all project goals are met within the specified timeline and budget.
• Execute and oversee the design and implementation of remedial systems, including site assessments, feasibility studies, and engineering designs.
• Ensure all projects comply with FDEP regulations and other relevant environmental laws and standards.
• Mentor and develop junior engineering staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports, project documentation, and presentations for clients and regulatory agencies.
• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and financial accountability.
• Develop new client relationships through local and national business development in the Southeastern US and Florida.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in environmental engineering, with a focus on petroleum restoration projects and remedial system design, construction, and maintenance.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure required.
• Strong proficiency in environmental engineering principles, remedial system design, and project management software.
• Knowledge of FDEP regulations and other relevant environmental laws and standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, regulatory agencies, and team members.
• Proven ability to lead and manage project teams, with a focus on mentoring and developing junior staff.
