Role Summary
The Senior Internal Auditor will lead and execute risk-based operational, financial, and compliance audits across the Group's business entities and functions. This includes evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls related to core business processes, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
The role will act as a key advisor to senior management on strengthening the control environment and mitigating operational and financial risks across the Group.
Key Responsibilities

- Audit Leadership & Execution
- Risk-Based Planning: Contribute to the development and execution of the annual audit plan, focusing on high-risk areas identified through the Group's risk assessment methodology, including key operational, financial, and compliance processes across entities.
- End-to-End Fieldwork: Lead audit engagements from planning through fieldwork, including scoping, testing, and identifying control gaps and process weaknesses.
- Reporting: Prepare high-quality, well-supported audit reports for the Chief Internal Auditor and Audit Committee, clearly detailing findings, root causes, risk implications, and actionable, high-impact recommendations.

- Operational & Financial Auditing (not limited to)
- Process Audits: Audit end-to-end business processes (e.g., procurement, sales, inventory, treasury, payroll, HR) to ensure proper authorization, execution, and timely reconciliation of transactions.
- Financial Reporting Review: Review key accounting and financial reporting processes to assess accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS).
- Policy & Compliance: Verify compliance with Group policies, delegation of authority, contractual obligations, and entity-specific regulatory requirements.

- Internal Controls & Governance
- Internal Control Frameworks: Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) and key operational processes, aligned with recognized frameworks (e.g., COSO).
- Fraud Detection: Monitor for indicators of fraud, misappropriation of assets, or unauthorized activities across business units, and support investigations as required.
- Regulatory Liaison: Support the Group's compliance with applicable local laws and regulations (e.g., ZATCA, labor and Saudization requirements, sector-specific regulations) and internal governance policies.

- Education & Experience
- Years of Experience: 4 to 6 years in internal or external audit (Big 4 experience is highly preferred).
- Certification: CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), is preferred.
- Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Technical Expertise
- Solid understanding of internal audit methodology and risk-based auditing principles, aligned with the IIA International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
- Working knowledge of financial accounting, internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO), and financial reporting requirements (IFRS).
- Exposure to diverse business sectors (e.g., manufacturing, real estate, hospitality, trading, or services) is an advantage
