Job Summary
The Field Operations, Inventory & Audit Manager is responsible for protecting several million dollars in company inventory by ensuring inventory accuracy, operational consistency, and compliance with company procedures across every US Resin Supply location.
This is a field-based operational leadership position.
This is not a sales role.
The successful candidate will spend most of their time traveling between stores conducting inventory audits, physical counts, operational reviews, inventory investigations, employee coaching, and follow-up on corrective actions.

Primary Responsibilities
Inventory Control
- Conduct physical inventories.
- Perform scheduled cycle counts.
- Verify inventory accuracy between physical inventory and Lightspeed POS.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies.
- Review damaged, obsolete, and sample inventory.
- Verify inventory adjustments.
- Investigate inventory write-offs.
- Monitor negative inventory.
- Verify month-end inventory balances.
- Ensure inventory records accurately reflect physical inventory.
Store Audits
Conduct scheduled and unannounced operational audits.

Ensure inventory is received correctly by

- Verifying quantities.
- Reviewing packing slips.
- Confirming products are received correctly in Lightspeed.
- Ensuring Purchase Orders are fully completed and closed.
- Investigating receiving discrepancies immediately
Store Transfers
Audit all inventory transfers between locations.
Responsibilities include
- Verifying transfer quantities.
- Confirming transfer documentation.
- Ensuring receiving locations process transfers correctly.
- Investigating incomplete transfers.
- Resolving transfer discrepancies promptly.
Inventory Investigations
Lead investigations involving
- Missing inventory
- Inventory shrinkage
- Incorrect SKU usage
- Receiving errors
- Transfer errors
- Unauthorized adjustments
- Duplicate inventory
- Inventory write-offs
- Inventory count discrepancies
- Customer transactions affecting inventory
Determine the root cause of discrepancies and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Asset Protection & Loss Prevention
Protect company assets by identifying operational weaknesses before they result in financial losses.
Responsibilities include
- Monitoring inventory shrinkage.
- Reviewing inventory adjustment activity.
- Identifying unusual inventory transactions.
- Reviewing transaction history before store visits.
- Analyzing recurring inventory discrepancies.
- Reviewing available store records when losses cannot be explained.
- Identifying recurring operational weaknesses.
- Recommending process improvements to reduce inventory losses.

- Reviewing inventory balances.
- Verifying inventory adjustments.
- Confirming Purchase Orders and transfers are complete.
- Supporting Accounting with inventory investigations when required.

Present recommendations for continuous operational improvement.
Authority
The Field Operations, Inventory & Audit Manager has authority to:
- Conduct scheduled and unannounced store audits.
- Require immediate inventory recounts.
- Require recounts by different employees.
- Pause inventory adjustments pending investigation.
- Require corrective action plans.
- Recommend additional employee training.
- Recommend disciplinary review for repeated violations of company procedures.
- Escalate unresolved operational issues directly to Executive Management.
This position does not establish pricing, approve discounts, manage sales performance, authorize commercial decisions, or supervise sales activities.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Maintain inventory accuracy of at least 99%.
- Zero unresolved negative inventory.
- Complete 100% of scheduled store audits.
- Complete 100% of scheduled cycle counts.
- Achieve 100% receiving accuracy.
- Achieve 100% transfer accuracy.
- Ensure Purchase Orders are closed within company standards.
- Ensure inventory adjustments are properly documented.
- Continuously reduce recurring inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure all employees complete required inventory training.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum five years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, industrial distribution, branch operations, or multi-location retail.
- Experience conducting physical inventories and cycle counts.
- Experience investigating inventory discrepancies.
- Experience training employees.
- Experience implementing operational procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with POS or ERP systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Valid U.S. driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Valid U.S. passport, or the ability to obtain one.
- Ability to travel extensively throughout the United States.
- Ability to travel periodically to Canada for onboarding, training, operational meetings, and special projects.
Experience with Lightspeed POS is considered an asset.

Experience in epoxy flooring is not required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work in warehouse environments for extended periods.
- Comfortable performing physical inventory counts in warehouse and retail environments.
Travel Requirements
This is a field-based position requiring extensive travel throughout the United States.
The successful candidate should expect to
- Travel approximately 60–70% of the time.
- Visit multiple store locations each month.
- Spend approximately two to three days per week in the field.
- Travel on short notice when operational issues require immediate attention.
- Occasionally work evenings or weekends during physical inventories or new store openings.
Periodic travel to the company's Canadian headquarters may be required for onboarding, training, operational meetings, or special projects.
All approved business travel expenses, including airfare, hotels, rental vehicles, mileage, meals, and other authorized expenses, will be paid by US Resin Supply.

Compensation is based on operational performance, inventory accuracy, and compliance with company procedures. This position is not compensated based on sales performance.
