Full Job Description

Local Professional Public Accounting Firm in San Jose seeks full-time Experienced Audit Associate with at least three years of Auditing experience within public accounting.

Job requirements

Work in audits include audit planning/risk assessments, application of audit procedures, documentation of audit progress with detailed working papers, and reporting. Team based work. Be able to delegate duties to staff after taking direction from manager or engagement partner. Eligible to sit for CPA exams.

Candidate Preferences

CPA licensure a strong plus.

At least two-three years of experience in auditing and attestation. Additional years in public accounting a strong plus.

Capable of conducting audits with risk assessments and documentation. Ability to use tools for data analytics.

Detail oriented with good working paper documentation in audit programs

Proficient with Microsoft Excel & Word

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Analytical & problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn

Ability to accurately perform work with strong attention to detail

Ability to work independently and with others

Salary will depend on experience

Schedule

• Monday to Friday (Weekends if needed during busy seasons)

Work Location

• One location (travel required for audit field work mostly local; however, out of state clients will require ability to travel)
