Join CBRE as a Senior Facilities Manager,where you’ll oversee a portfolio of retail sites for one of ourleading technology clients in the Bay Area and California. Thishybrid role combines strategic oversight with hands-onengagement—you’ll regularly engage the client and visit retaillocations weekly to ensure smooth operations and exceptionalservice.
In this position, you will act as aSubject Matter Expert in building operations andmaintenance activities while delivering hospitality-drivencustomer service and operational excellence across multiple sites.
Responsibilities include managing daily operations, preventative andreactive maintenance acrossmechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) activities, andcompliance . In addition, vendor management andgovernance is critical while fostering strong relationshipswith store managers, property managers and landlords.

Store Operations & Service Delivery
Serve as the primary facilities partner for Retail stores within the assignedregion. Build strong relationships with store leadership and stakeholdersthrough proactive communication, responsiveness, and hospitality-drivencustomer service.
Conduct structured on-site reviews at each location a minimumof twice per month to identify facility-related issues, assess operationalperformance, and implement solutions that improve efficiency, reliability, andthe overall workplace experience.
Vendor & Contractor Management
Lead and coordinate facility maintenance, repairs, and service delivery throughthird-party vendors, contractors, and service providers. Manage vendorperformance through work order management systems, regular business reviews,site inspections, and service metrics to ensure contracted services meetoperational expectations.
Review and oversee vendor-related expenditures,invoicing, and procurement activities as appropriate.
Project & Program Oversight
Support facility-related capital projects, renovations, store openings, andoperational initiatives by partnering with cross-functional teams includingReal Estate, Design, Innovation, Standards, Merchandising, Security, IS&T,and Development teams.
Provide operational guidance and feedback to ensureprojects are delivered in alignment with business objectives, facilitystandards, and long-term maintainability requirements.
Budget & Financial Management
Manage annual operating and capital budgets, including forecasting, financialreporting, and expense tracking. Evaluate repair-versus-replacementopportunities, develop cost-effective solutions, and participate in vendorsourcing, bidding, contract negotiations, and scope development to ensurestrong financial stewardship across the portfolio.
Building Systems & Technical Expertise
Apply advanced facilities and building systems knowledge to oversee theoperation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of mechanical, electrical,plumbing, controls, lighting, landscaping, and other critical infrastructure.Diagnose and resolve complex operational issues while ensuring facilities aremaintained to the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance.
Compliance, Safety & Quality Assurance
Conduct regular facility inspections and audits to ensure compliance withcompany standards and applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Supportenvironmental health and safety (EHS) programs, promote safe workingenvironments, and maintain quality assurance processes that drive operationalexcellence across all locations.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for facilities operations.Foster collaboration among internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders whilepromoting CBRE's RISE values. Identify opportunities to improve processes,service delivery, maintenance programs, and operational standards, drivingcontinuous improvement across the portfolio.
Sustainability & EnvironmentalResponsibility
Support sustainability initiatives related to store operations, includingenergy efficiency programs, waste reduction efforts, renewable energyinitiatives, and environmentally responsible vendor and material selections.Partner with stakeholders to advance client and CBRE sustainability goals.
Bachelor'sdegree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, IndustrialEngineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management, Architecture, or arelated field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Relevant certifications such as CFM, FMP, IFMA, BOMA, or PMP are preferred.
7+years of facilities management, engineering operations, construction, orrelated experience. An engineering or technical background is stronglypreferred.
Demonstratedexperience supporting retail, workplace, or customer-facing facilitiesenvironments, preferably for a global consumer technology organization.
Deepknowledge of building systems including mechanical, electrical, plumbing,controls, fire-life safety, lighting, landscaping, and related infrastructuresystems.
Experiencedeveloping and executing preventive maintenance programs and managing vendorperformance to ensure operational excellence.
Strongfinancial acumen, including experience managing operating and capital budgets,forecasting, contract negotiations, and vendor service agreements.
Provenability to evaluate repair-versus-replacement decisions and balance operationalrisk, service quality, and cost management.
Excellentcommunication, customer service, and relationship management skills, with theability to engage effectively with clients, vendors, store leadership, andcross-functional business partners.
Provenleadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders, driveaccountability, and align operational goals across multiple teams andfunctions.
Experiencein hospitality-focused, workplace experience, or client-facing serviceenvironments preferred.
Demonstratedexperience working with facility operations teams, utility providers,government agencies, architects, designers, contractors, and development teams.
Excellentorganizational skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and theability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Validdriver's license required. Must be willing and able to travel to client sitesthroughout the assigned portfolio, including regular on-site store visits andoccasional overnight travel as required.
Proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn and utilize newtechnologies, systems, and equipment.

California Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Sr. Facilities Manager position is $165,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Sr. Facilities Manager position is $180,000 annually.
The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
