Front Desk Receptionist/Office Assistant ( Request Bilingual by Mandarin and English)

Light Health Acupuncture Inc is a Chinese traditional Medicine clinic located in northern San Jose. We offer Acupuncture Treatment, Tuina/meridian massage, and many other holistic physical therapies.

We currently have one full-time receptionist position that needs to be filled asap. Hours are from Tuesday --Thursday 10:00am to 7pm and Friday-Saturday 9:30--6:30pm.

Requirements

• Must speak fluent Mandarin Chinese and English
• Must be dependable and punctual
• Have good verbal and written communication and customer service skills
• Polite and professional telephone manners

Responsibilities include

• Scheduling and calendaring for customers over phone or in person
• Answering phones and directing calls
• Working at the front desk
• Greeting walk-ins
• Data entry including word processing and spreadsheet applications
• Other duties as assigned

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hourDuties

• Greet visitors warmly, determine their needs, and direct them appropriately
• Manage multi-line phone systems, answer inquiries promptly, and transfer calls efficiently
• Schedule appointments, coordinate calendar management, and maintain accurate records
• Perform data entry, filing, and document proofreading to ensure accuracy and organization
• Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and other office software
• Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks or similar accounting tools
• Support office management activities such as supply inventory, mail distribution, and maintaining cleanliness of the reception area

Skills

• Proven experience in office administration or clerical roles with strong organizational skills
• Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette
• Proficiency in computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace tools
• Ability to operate multi-line phone systems efficiently and handle high call volumes
• Bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse clients and visitors
• Strong typing skills with attention to detail for data entry and proofreading tasks
• Experience in medical or dental receptionist roles is advantageous but not required; familiarity with calendar management and personal assistant duties is beneficial
• Knowledge of office management procedures such as filing systems, record keeping, and time management techniques
