Job Summary

The Sous Chef supports the Executive Chef in overseeing daily culinary operations, including multi-station food production, menu execution, and team supervision. This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality food, ensuring consistency in recipes and presentation, and supporting catering, service execution, and new program initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations and food production across multiple stations
• Assist with menu planning, development, rollouts, LTOs, and global concept rotations
• Supervise and support hourly culinary team members
• Ensure consistent recipe execution, portioning, and plating standards
• Lead service periods by expediting, troubleshooting, and maintaining kitchen flow
• Ensure quality, consistency, and presentation standards are met
• Assist with cost control, inventory, and ordering
• Execute catering events and special functions
• Support rollout of new culinary programs and initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience
• Progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
• Catering experience preferred
• Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice environments
• Strong understanding of global cuisines and flavor profiles
• Knowledge of food trends, sanitation, and cost control practices
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems
• ServSafe certification preferred
