Oversee all financial activities and operations for the City of San Jose.

Develop and implement financial strategies and policies to ensure the financial stability and growth of the city.

Manage the city's budget, including forecasting, monitoring, and reporting on financial performance.

Provide guidance and recommendations to city leadership on financial matters and potential risks.

Supervise and lead a team of finance professionals, promoting a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and standards in financial management.

Evaluate and implement new financial systems and technologies to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Collaborate with other city departments to develop and monitor financial plans and goals.

Conduct regular financial analysis and present findings to city officials and stakeholders.

Oversee the preparation and submission of financial reports to state and federal agencies.

Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, such as banks, auditors, and vendors.

Stay updated on relevant industry trends and best practices in finance to continuously improve the city's financial operations.

Represent the city in financial matters at public meetings and events.
