Concrete Foreman

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Concrete Foreman to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in various concrete-related tasks on construction sites, ensuring quality control and adherence to safety regulations.

This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, the ability to read schematics, and familiarity with industry standards such as OSHA guidelines.

Duties

This position is considered safety sensitive and therefore all work must be performed in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.

• Assist superintendent with formwork, takeoffs, consumables and PPE requirements
• Assist in the preparation and pouring of concrete for various structures, including foundations, sidewalks, and walls.
• Clean job end of day and haul off debris from the job to desired site.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment related to concrete work, ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Collaborate with superintendent on materials and tools needed daily – fill out POD, PRA, PTP’s every morni
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure that all work meets project specifications and industry standards.
• Monitor how the wind,heat or cold affect the curing of the concrete through the entire process.
• Construct wooden and or metal forms, dig the concrete footer and check the forms that hold the concrete to ensure that they are properly constructed.
• Collaborate with team members to manage tasks efficiently on the construction site.
• Adhere to safety protocols at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical applications related to concrete installations.
• Engage in budgeting discussions as needed to manage material costs effectively.

Requirements

• Proven experience in concrete labor or a related field is preferred.
• Strong understanding of quality control measures within the construction industry.
• Ability to interpret schematics and blueprints accurately.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Physical stamina and strength to perform labor-intensive tasks, including lifting heavy materials up to 50 lbs.
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively on-site.
• Maintain a weekly inventory of tools and equipment onsite.
