About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a leading provider of event technology, audiovisual, and digital engagement solutions to identify a Business Development Executive focused on the associations, nonprofit, and mission-driven organization market.

This individual will play a key role in developing new business relationships, helping organizations enhance conferences, annual meetings, fundraising events, educational programs, and member experiences through innovative event technology solutions.

The position offers the opportunity to work with a collaborative team while building relationships with association leaders, nonprofit executives, meeting planners, and event professionals across North America.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and grow new business opportunities within associations, nonprofit organizations, professional societies, and mission-driven enterprises.
• Build relationships with executive directors, meeting planners, event managers, boards, and key decision-makers.
• Conduct consultative discovery conversations to understand organizational goals, event strategies, member engagement objectives, and operational challenges.
• Create customized proposals, RFP responses, and solution recommendations that align with client needs.
• Represent the organization at industry conferences, association meetings, trade shows, and networking events.
• Partner closely with marketing, operations, and client success teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
• Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and activity tracking within CRM platforms.
• Contribute market intelligence and best practices to support continued growth within the association and nonprofit sector.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in business development, sales, or account growth within events, technology, hospitality, association management, nonprofit services, or related industries.
• Demonstrated ability to engage executive-level stakeholders and navigate complex sales cycles.
• Strong presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience responding to RFPs and developing strategic proposals.
• Proficiency with CRM systems such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
• Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience selling into associations, nonprofits, membership organizations, convention and visitor bureaus, or meeting/event management environments is strongly preferred.

• Consistently generating new revenue through partnerships with associations, nonprofits, and membership-based organizations.
• Building long-term client relationships that result in recurring event and technology engagements.
• Expanding market presence within key association and nonprofit verticals.
• Developing a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities and successfully moving prospects through the sales process.
• Serving as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them improve attendee engagement, event effectiveness, and organizational outcomes.
• Collaborating cross-functionally to ensure successful execution and exceptional client experiences.
