Medical Biller/Coder

Busy Practice is looking for a Full Time Medical Biller/Coder with excellent customer service skills for our billing department. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

This individual is responsible for Medical Coding, Billing, follow-up and collection of all insurance claims; . Patient accounting functions including billing, collections, customer service, documents patient account activity, responds to customer billing inquiries, posts payments, follows up on Explanation of Benefits, performs other duties as assigned.

• Use coded data to produce and submit claims to insurance companies
• Strong Knowledge of Nevada insurances required
• Working directly with the insurance company, healthcare provider, and patient to get a claim processed and paid
• Reviewing and appealing unpaid and denied claims
• Verifying patients’ insurance coverage
• Answering patients’ billing questions
• Handling collections on unpaid accounts
• Experience in Radiology and Cardiology Medical billing/coding preferred
• Experienced in CPT and ICD-9 coding REQUIRED Knowledge of ICD-10 necessary
