About us

Apex Home Nursing Services is a nurse-owned concierge home care practice serving Summerlin, Henderson, and the greater Las Vegas valley. We are not a standard agency.

Our clients are a small number of private-pay families who expect the best, and our caregivers are the reason we can promise it. Every client relationship is overseen by our registered nurse owners, which means you will never be dropped into a home alone with no plan and no backup.

A nurse builds the care plan, reads your visit notes, answers when you call, and show up in person for our clients and their families weekly.

The role

One-on-one private caregiving for one client at a time. No facility ratios, no rushing between eight patients. Your job is to be genuinely present with one person: personal care, mobility and transfer assistance, meals, engagement, activities, accompaniment, housekeeping, laundry, and being the trained eyes that notice small changes early and report them the same day.

What we pay and how it works

• $25/hour, 1099 independent contractor
• You claim the shifts you want from our posted schedule. No mandatory shifts, no guilt trips
• Occupational accident coverage provided at our expense
• Shifts range from short visits to long premium assignments, including post-surgical and transitional care cases

What we require

• Active Nevada CNA certification in good standing
• Minimum 3 years of caregiving experience (home care experience strongly preferred)
• Current CPR/First Aid, TB screening, and ability to pass a full background investigation including fingerprinting (NRS 449.123), and drug testing
• Reliable transportation and a smartphone for visit documentation
• A phone that stays in your pocket during shifts. Our families are paying for presence, and our caregivers are engaged, warm, and attentive. This is non-negotiable and it is why our clients treat our caregivers with the respect they deserve

Who we're looking for

Every hospital and care facility has one or two of them. The CNA whose patients always look cared for, hair combed, faces shaved, skin moisturized, because she keeps her own supplies in her bag and refuses to let anyone in her care look forgotten. The one who notices the small stuff, remembers how someone takes their coffee, and treats every person like they still matter, because they do.

That person is rarely paid what they're worth, and almost never told what they are: the best one in the building.

We built Apex to find those caregivers and treat them accordingly.

We pay $25 to $30 an hour depending on shift type, we keep you with one client at a time so you can actually do the work the way you know it should be done, and our nurse owners read your visit notes because what you notice matters to us. We hire on personality and fit above everything, we don't trust just anyone with our clients, and we're comfortable leaving a shift open until we find the right person.

How to apply

Apply with your resume. Qualified applicants complete a phone screen, an in-person interview, and our paid training program before their first shift. We hire selectively: we interviewed over 100 applicants to build our current team of five, and we would rather leave a shift unfilled than send the wrong person into a client's home.
