Barista/Host

1228 Main | Wolfgang Puck is seeking a warm, energetic, and hospitality-driven Barista / Host to join our team. This dual-role position is perfect for someone who enjoys creating exceptional guest experiences from the very first greeting to the final sip of coffee.

As both the first and last impression of our restaurant, you'll welcome guests with genuine hospitality, manage reservations and seating, and craft high-quality coffee and espresso beverages with consistency and care. This role plays a vital part in creating a seamless, polished dining experience in a fast-paced, elevated environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality
• Manage reservations, waitlists, and guest seating to ensure efficient dining room flow
• Prepare and serve espresso-based beverages, coffee, teas, and specialty drinks to Wolfgang Puck standards
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on beverages and menu offerings
• Maintain consistency, speed, and quality during high-volume service periods
• Keep the host stand, coffee station, and surrounding areas clean, organized, and guest-ready
• Assist with guest inquiries, phone calls, and reservation requests
• Collaborate with front- and back-of-house teams to deliver seamless service
• Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and operational standards

Qualifications

• Previous host, barista, or guest service experience preferred (high-volume restaurant, café, or luxury hospitality experience is a plus)
• Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask while maintaining a calm, positive demeanor in a fast-paced environment
• Professional appearance and attention to detail
• Basic coffee and espresso knowledge preferred; willingness to learn welcomed
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
