HVAC Technician and Cannabis building maintenance

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician and maintenance person to join our craft cannabis team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, with the ability to perform installations, maintenance, and repairs. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving in various environments.

This position is in one location with 50% or more of the time spent indoors, with regular cannabis industry trainings provided. Come make a difference in a high-growth industry full of passionate employees.

Duties

• Maintain, and repair HVAC systems including refrigeration units and ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Conduct routine inspections of heating and cooling systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, providing effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all service activities.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each job.
• Maintain building standards and troubleshoot various systems

Skills

• Proficiency in refrigeration systems and equipment repair techniques.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience as a mechanic in HVAC and related fields.
• Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems is highly desirable.
• Ability to design HVAC solutions that meet customer needs effectively.
• Experience in plumbing related to HVAC installations is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for van driving duties.
• Cannabis industry experience is a plus, but not required.

Requirements for HVAC tech

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis
• Work in confined spaces, such as attics and crawl spaces
• Climb ladders and work at heights on a regular basis
• Stand, bend and kneel for extended periods
• Ability to work in excessive heat and cold
• Ability to work in loud environments
• Ability to work extremely early to beat the heat
• Ability to move hands, fingers and arms with dexterity
• Ability to see parts and machines to diagnose and repair
• Ability to read schematics and building plans
