Sr. Art Designer

A large gaming client is seeking a Senior Art Designer to research, design, and develop high-quality illustrations, animations, user interfaces, and visual assets for casino slot games. This individual will play a key role in bringing game concepts to life through the creation of game themes, characters, symbols, effects, and interactive experiences.

The Senior Art Designer will collaborate closely with Game Designers, Software Engineers, and fellow artists to deliver engaging, player-focused content while meeting production timelines. The ideal candidate combines strong artistic ability with extensive gaming industry experience, a deep understanding of slot game development, and hands-on experience utilizing Unity to implement and optimize game assets.

Requirements

• 8–11 years of art development experience within the gaming industry
• At least 4–5 years of experience developing artwork specifically for casino slot games
• Portfolio demonstrating strong illustration, animation, UI design, and game art capabilities
• 1–3 years of experience working with Unity
• Strong expertise in illustration, animation, and slot game art standards
• Experience creating game themes, characters, symbols, visual effects, and UI assets
• Ability to create and prepare 2D and/or 3D artwork for final game integration
• Advanced proficiency with Adobe Photoshop
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Designers, Engineers, and Product teams
• Strong communication skills across all levels of the business
• Ability to mentor and support other artists
• Ability to obtain and maintain required gaming licensure

Nice to Have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Art, Animation, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience with After Effects, Illustrator, Adobe Animate, Maya, or similar creative tools
• Experience contributing to or improving art production pipelines and workflows
• Knowledge of casino gaming trends and player engagement strategies
• Previous experience mentoring junior artists or leading creative initiatives
• Experience conducting market, player, or competitive research to inform game development
• Experience shipping commercially released casino games or other gaming products
