ABOUT LE LOUNGE

Le Lounge is the cocktail bar in Kansas City's Crossroads District. We're known for thoughtful cocktails, good music, private events, and creating a warm, design-forward atmosphere for our guests.

Our team operates in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where attention to detail, hospitality, and adaptability matter. We're looking for people who genuinely enjoy taking care of guests and want to grow alongside a small but ambitious hospitality team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a garde-manger focused role: cold food, precise plating, and ingredient-driven work. You'll start part-time helping us run food for our events and pop-ups, refining dishes and dialing in execution. For the right person, it grows into something bigger: a leadership role shaping the food program and the space for a future project we're building.

• Precision. Cold food has nowhere to hide. Every plate should look the same, every time.
• Humility. You'll be refining an existing vision, not reinventing it. We value making a good dish better.
• Curiosity. Someone who reads, tastes, travels, and pays attention.
• Long-Term Interest. This is not a temporary fill-in or a side gig. We're looking for someone who wants to grow into the operation as we expand.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Executing cold dishes with consistency and speed during service and events.
• Prep, mise en place, and station setup and breakdown.
• Helping refine recipes, plating, and specs as we develop the menu.
• Working with vendors on sourcing and receiving.
• Documenting recipes, prep lists, and specs so the program can grow.
• Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards.

REQUIREMENTS

• Weekend availability required, including Sundays.
• Comfortable working nights and event shifts.
• Kitchen experience required. Garde-manger, raw bar, charcuterie, or plating-focused experience preferred.
• Comfortable working in a small space with a small team.
• Food handler certification, or willingness to obtain one.
• Must be 18+.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $30,000.00 per hour
