Role Description

The Guitar Teacher role is a full-time, on-site position based in Sabah Al Salem. The Guitar Teacher will plan and deliver individual and group guitar lessons, tailoring instruction to different ages and skill levels while using diverse teaching methods and materials.

Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching core techniques and repertoire, incorporating music theory, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback. The teacher will communicate regularly with students and caregivers, participate in academy events and recitals, and collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum development.

The role may also involve limited instruction or coordination with other instruments to enhance students’ overall musical development.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Guitar Instruction and Music Education, with the ability to teach a range of levels from beginner to advanced.
• Solid understanding of Music and Music Theory, including reading notation, harmony, rhythm, and ear training.
• Basic proficiency in Piano or another secondary instrument, to support broader musical training and accompaniment when needed.
• Prior teaching experience in a music school, academy, or private setting, with a student-centered and inclusive approach.
• Relevant academic background or training in music (e.g., degree, diploma, or recognized certifications) is highly beneficial.
• Clear communication skills, patience, and the ability to motivate and engage learners of diverse backgrounds.
• Strong organizational skills, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining a professional teaching environment.
• Willingness to participate in performances, recitals, and academy activities, and to collaborate with other faculty members.
