The James M. Anderson Center for Health Systems Excellence at Cincinnati Children's is seeking a skilled, enthusiastic, and creative analyst to join our team.

This Senior Analyst role will work to expand our ability to deliver unique insights and drive inquiries to support the growth and development of new and existing Learning Health Networks (LHNs). LHNs are multisite communities of healthcare organizations, patients, clinicians, and researchers working together to improve care and accelerate innovation and research to improve the health of individuals and populations with specific conditions.

Responsibilities

• Work with faculty and clinical subject matter experts, project managers, quality improvement specialists, clinicians, and data teams to support the use of data, measurement, and analytics to improve care and research.
• Consult with project teams and leaders to develop and implement measurement and analytics strategies including measure development, data acquisition, data interoperability and data quality, and selection and application of statistical and analytic methods and tools.
• Create and maintain data visualizations to support the ongoing use of data and measurement for project decision-making.
• Initiate and drive inquiries that enable Learning Health Networks to operate more efficiently and effectively in service of improved health outcomes for kids.

Desired Skills And Qualifications

• Masters in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Data Science, Social Science, Psychology, Economics or a similar field with significant and demonstrated quantitative research experience required (PhD or PhD all but dissertation (ABD) preferred)
• Knowledge and experience manipulating and analyzing data from large and complex databases and data sources while upholding best practices regarding data security and privacy protection
• Five or more years of experience performing analysis and data visualization functions. Experience deriving statistical estimates of population parameters preferred.
• High proficiency in R, Python, SAS, SQL, or other coding languages with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI platform experience a plus.
• Proven analytic skills including one or more of the following: data mining, regression analysis, segmentation analysis, statistical process control, and predictive modeling
• Technical writing and communication experience including reports and presentations.
• Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Familiarity with electronic health records and or other health related data sources is a plus.

Minimum Job Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science, statistics, economics or related fields
• 5+ years of work experience in a related job discipline

The ideal candidate should have expertise in methods for handling patient-level data and be accustomed to organizing, combining, and producing reproducible insights from various forms and sources of data. The candidate must also have expertise in measure development and implementation using clinical and non-clinical data sources. The role requires the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.

The Senior Analyst will have the opportunity to work on various LHNs, which span a broad reach of conditions, settings, and geographic locations, and drive the spread of evidence and innovation faster than what we traditionally experience from the “bench to bedside” pipeline.
