This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed Professional Engineer who enjoys leading complex civil engineering projects while also playing an active role in mentoring staff, developing client relationships, and helping expand an already successful operation.

The position offers a flexible hybrid schedule (1-2 days in the office), providing an outstanding work-life balance while maintaining collaboration with the engineering team.

Position Responsibilities

• Manage multiple civil/site development projects from initial concept through construction.
• Lead engineering design efforts for commercial, mixed-use, residential, industrial, municipal, and institutional developments.
• Oversee preparation of:
• Site layout plans
• Grading and earthwork plans
• Stormwater management systems
• Utility design (water, sewer, and drainage)
• Erosion control plans
• Construction documents
• Coordinate with clients, municipalities, architects, planners, surveyors, and other engineering disciplines.
• Prepare project schedules, budgets, and monitor financial performance.
• Review engineering calculations, reports, and technical deliverables for quality assurance.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers while providing technical leadership.
• Attend client meetings, agency meetings, and public presentations when necessary.
• Assist with proposals, business development initiatives, and strategic growth efforts.
• Serve as the Engineer of Record on applicable projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 8+ years of progressive civil engineering experience.
• Strong background in land development and site design.
• Proficiency with:
• AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Civil engineering design software
• Microsoft Office
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of permitting processes and local regulatory agencies.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• Previous experience mentoring engineers and technical staff.
