Process Engineer Co-op

About the role

As a Process Engineer Co-op, you will contribute to the manufacturing operations of polyurethane sealants and coatings. You will gain hands-on experience by working with process and quality engineering teams to support safety, quality, maintenance, and production.

Throughout this term, you will develop an understanding of how the manufacturing process integrates with supporting departments while utilizing tools such as Lean Six-Sigma, 5S, A3 Problem Solving, and Value Stream Mapping.

What you'll do

• Lead small projects focused on process or equipment improvements.
• Collect data to support process waste reduction initiatives.
• Create or edit P&IDs.
• Collaborate with Process Engineers on Capital Expense Projects.
• Facilitate meetings to communicate information and coordinate project tasks.
• Serve as a back-up for Quality Lab Safety.

What you'll need

• High School diploma.
• Current enrollment as a sophomore, junior, or senior in good academic standing.
• Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, with a preference for Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
