Salary/ Pay rate/ Benefits: Rates £50,000 - £65,000 PA + Benefits Package + Expenses paid when travelling to Bristol

Location: Hybrid working with travel to Bristol Expensed

Hours of work: Up to 40 Hours Per Week

Monday- Friday 9:00-5:30pm/Remote Working with travel required to Bristol.

Once probation has been passed, 1 day per month will be required in Bristol, the other 4 days can be worked remotely.

Role information

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Senior Civil Design Engineer to work on the design of the nuclear powerplants, as well as our future pipeline of projects. You will provide your civil expertise to successfully deliver our projects, in collaboration with clients, contractors, stakeholders and our project teams.

The key responsibilities will include a selection of the following points, depending on your technical experience and the position you take within our team:

• Coordinating and communicating on complex engineering problems between project stakeholders.
• Providing technical review and responding to site queries and requested changes in a dynamic and fast-paced environment to support contractor activities on site.
• Conduct and review analysis of structures carried out in FEM packages (experience in using Ansys beneficial).
• Provide technical oversight of reinforcement detailers and review detailing models and drawings.
• Provide expert oversight and technical direction to teams completing the design of reinforced concrete structures.
• Developing strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Supporting the business development team during the tendering process for our future project stream.

Applicants must have experience of the following

• Bachelor’s or master’s in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Chartered with the ICE, IStructE, or with equivalent experience.
• Experience in the use of Ansys or equivalent structural FEM software.
• Experience in reinforced concrete calculation and design.
• Working familiarity with relevant technical Codes of Practice and Industry Standards (Eurocodes, British Standard, and ETC-C the applicable code.

The following experience is also beneficial

• Programming skills in one or several languages are a plus - PYTHON Desirable
• Experience in the use of Ansys or equivalent structural FEM software.
