Hobbs Rehabilitation
About Responsibilities & Skills
A unique and exciting role has arisen for an enthusiastic Junior Physiotherapist to join our existing specialist therapy teams at Hobbs Rehabilitation, the largest independent provider of specialist neurological rehabilitation to adults in the south of England.
The post will be part of our junior physiotherapist rotation, incorporating outpatient, inpatient, and residential services across several Hobbs sites.
The successful candidate will be responsible for autonomously assessing and treating a wide range of neurological patients in an outpatient setting with support from our experienced and friendly multi-disciplinary team (MDT), working alongside Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Psychology, and Rehabilitation Assistant colleagues.
We treat patients undergoing packages of intensive treatment as well as outpatients with complex neurological conditions such as spinal cord injury, stroke, brain injury, and MS.
Across Hobbs, we use a combination of conventional hands-on therapy and clinically-led neurotechnology, including exoskeletons, FES, robotic gait trainers, upper limb devices like MyoPro and GripAble, and virtual- and augmented reality. At our Bristol centre, you will have full access to our Tyromotion neurotechnology suite, with full training provided during your induction.
There are many service developments across Hobbs, including our new Amputee and Trauma service at Bristol, offering opportunities to develop in neurological, poly-trauma, and amputee physiotherapy. You will also have chances to participate in research and development projects through Hobbs and the MiNT academy.
As a Junior Physiotherapist, you will benefit from an induction training programme, regular clinical and non-clinical supervision, local in-service training, and peer support. The rotational nature of the role allows experience across various clinical settings and conditions.
