Key Responsibilities

• Proactively acquire new business through outbound calls, emails, and client visits.
• Build tailored freight solutions to meet customer needs.
• Prepare and negotiate competitive quotes and contracts.
• Monitor market trends and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
• Represent the company at trade events and assist the UK Sales Manager on joint customer calls.
• Support shipment coordination, tracking, and status updates in the shipping industry.
• Step in to manage operations during busy periods or team absences.
• Prepare shipping documentation and liaise with overseas agents and carriers.
• Resolve customer queries and maintain high service standards.

• Operational: Solid understanding of freight forwarding, keen eye for detail, and ability to troubleshoot.

• Proven experience in freight forwarding or shipping, with a focus on LCL in the shipping industry.
• Good knowledge of international logistics, Incoterms, and global trade.

• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage workload independently.
• Familiarity with ocean carriers and working with overseas partners/agents.

Monday – Friday 37.5 hours a week

Salary £32,000-£36,000 Plus yearly bonus between £5k-£10k
