Procurement Specialist - Construction

Your new company

A reputable public services organisation in Liverpool is seeking a driven and motivated Procurement Specialist to join their team on a temporary basis to support with their Capital Projects tenders. They are looking for support for an initial 3 month period with the view to extend an additional 3 months thereafter.

Your new role

As the Procurement Specialist, you will be the category expert when it comes to Capital Projects / Works spend across the organisation. You will lead tender exercises for exciting new construction projects and strive to deliver optimal value for money and procurement best practice.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will lead and support procurement exercises across construction, capital works, refurbishment, infrastructure and associated services, ensuring compliance with PA23 and relevant legislation.

You will manage relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally, and will provide commercial and procurement advice to them. You will support contract management activities and supplier performance reviews.

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience working within a UK public sector procurement environment.
• Proven track record procuring within Works, Construction, Capital Projects, Infrastructure or Estates-related categories.
• Strong knowledge and practical application of the Procurement Act 2023 (PA23).
• Experience managing complex procurement projects from strategy through to contract award.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
