The Role

Reporting into the Lead Technician, this role will be part of a small team of Technicians that will be responsible for providing electrical and general fabric maintenance to the shops within the Pret estate.

The Technician is responsible for conducting all maintenance jobs required by the shops within agreed timelines and to agreed budgets being aware of causing minimal disruption to the operation of the shops whether this be by carrying out the jobs themselves or by instructing a third party.

The role will cover all Pret shops within the estate so nationwide travel will be necessary.

What are we looking for?

Electrician Responsibilities

• Confidently finding the reason why equipment is not working and completing necessary repairs as quickly as possible
• Servicing electrical equipment including, but not limited to; Rethermalizers Toastie Machines Till Counters Marinators Ovens Hot Langars Installing and maintaining lighting and small equipment Replacing plugs and sockets Replacing of lamps, including oven lamps Dealing with other electrical jobs as requested by the shops Minor fabric repairs where necessary
• Maintaining relationships with third parties and instruction them where necessary to complete non-electrical or more complex jobs

Fabric Repairs

• Small amount of painting
• Replacement of toilet seats
• Damaged plaster
• Brick slips, minor wall repairs
• Chair, table and bench repairing
• Any other reasonable requests for fabric maintenance repairs made by the facilities team

Skills and experience

• Possession of all relevant electrical qualifications (minimum 18th edition) with paperwork to support
• Experience in a similar role
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a positive ‘can-do’ attitude
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate with people at all levels
• Ability to offer first class customer service to the shop staff when visiting to complete jobs
• Methodical with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to use own initiative when deciding whether to instruct a third party
