Quantity Surveyor in Liverpool

An established and highly successful Civil Engineering Contractor is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team Operating across a diverse portfolio, the business has built an excellent reputation for delivering quality schemes for both public and private sector clients. The company has a strong order book and a long-standing client base, with projects typically valued up to £2m-£3m

The Role

Reporting into the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of multiple projects from contract award through to final account

Key duties will include

• Managing project costs and budgets throughout the project Preparing valuations, applications for payment and final accounts Identifying, pricing and agreeing variations Procurement and management of subcontractor packages Reviewing and negotiating subcontractor accounts Monitoring project performance and cost reporting Managing cash flow and forecasting Identifying commercial risks and opportunities We are keen to speak with Quantity Surveyors who have experience within Civil Engineering, Infrastructure, Highways, Groundworks or General Construction environments You will ideally possess: Previous Quantity Surveying experience within Construction or Civil Engineering Strong commercial and contractual awareness Good understanding of NEC and JCT Experience managing subcontractor accounts and valuations Excellent numerical, analytical and negotiation skills Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities A proactive and organised approach to managing multiple projects simultaneously Ability to work collaboratively within both commercial and operational teams What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
