Rate: £500–£530/day (CIS, Inside IR35)

Location: Wessex region (on-site)

Contract: 12+ months

The Role

Our client is seeking a Senior Process Commissioning Engineer to lead the commissioning of wastewater capital projects across the Wessex region. You’ll provide technical leadership from design through to operation, ensuring optimised, reliable, and compliant process performance.

Key AMP8 workstreams include Phosphorus Removal schemes and several major non-P schemes. You’ll also support the Asset Commissioning Manager in developing team capability and strategy.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical input throughout design, construction, and commissioning.
• Support Commissioning Engineers and resolve technical queries.
• Attend design reviews, HAZOPs, and process risk assessments.
• Undertake FATs/SATs, commissioning, optimisation, and reliability testing.
• Drive projects to successful handover.

Requirements

• Extensive wastewater process experience, including 5+ in the UK/EU water sector.
• Degree in engineering or a related discipline; Chartered status preferred.
• Strong technical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, detail-focused, and capable of independent work.
