This role is to join a building services design team with a great ethos and high professional standards making it the perfect place for your formative years as an electrical design engineer.

They are responsible for the design of all the mechanical and electrical functions within buildings such as HVAC, lighting, hot and cold water systems, plant rooms, access control, fire alarm systems and data coms.

These functions can be applied to almost every type of building so you could be working on the design of buildings in any of the following sectors commercial, retail, leisure, industrial and hotels.

Responsibilities – Junior Electrical Design Engineer

• Assisting senior engineers with the preparation of outline design schemes
• Visiting site during the construction phase to monitor progress
• Ensuring services conform to the latest building regulations and technical standards
• Production drawings under the direction of engineers
• Assisting with the checking of documents and carrying out detailed calculations
• Undertaking duties as indicated to obtain further experience and training in Electrical Engineering

Qualifications

• MEng / BEng in Building Services or Electrical Engineering or similar.
• Previous experience in the building services / MEP design sector
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project
