Power BI Developer - Capital market sector

CGI is seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to build scalable BI solutions, optimize data models, and contribute to high‑impact international projects. Your future duties and responsibilities

Main Responsibilities

• Design and develop reliable and highly scalable dashboarding and reporting solutions within a cloud architecture (Snowflake, Power BI).
• Bring expertise, knowledge and guidance to team members relating to Analytics technology, tools, and best practices.
• Provide expertise, support and POC's (Proof of concept) with various Analytics infrastructure components.
• Provide expertise in the development and maintenance of analytics reports and dashboards (Power BI).

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

What we are looking for

• Academic Background: Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, statistics or mathematics and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience in a technical role.
• Seniority: Intermediate or Senior, 4-7 year of visualization/dashboarding designing experience.
• Proven track record of operationalizing successful end-to-end solutions.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL and data analysis.
• Experience with Power BI.
• Experience in CI/CD/CT pipeline implementation using Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Identity & Access Management services such as Azure AD / Entra ID.
• Experience with version control tools such as Git.
• Experience in creating and evolving data models and communicating optimal data architecture requirements.
• Experience in writing and optimizing DAX code and Power Query scripts.
• Experience in applying UI/UX design principles and using design solutions or frameworks.
• Experience in an agile delivery team, preferably with Scrum.
• Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Behaviors)
• Knowledge of web frameworks (React/Angular)
• Knowledge of Python is an asset. Knowledge of Tableau
• Knowledge of public markets, private markets, investment operations, investment accounting and investment analytics

Work arrangement: Hybrid, 4 days/week in the office

Location: Montreal

• The ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will be required to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States and Europe.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $ 70 000 And $ 135 000. This role is an existing vacancy.
