Responsibilities

As senior accounant - Real estate, you will be a cornerstone of our financial operations, overseeing the following:

• Full-Cycle Accounting: Manage month-end closings and prepare comprehensive financial statements for a diverse portfolio of commercial properties.
• Operating Expense Management: Oversee accruals, recoveries, and the billing of operating expenses (CAM and tax reconciliations).
• Process Optimization: Review internal controls and implement best practices to drive efficiency and accuracy.
• Strategic Support: Handle ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects to support the group's ongoing expansion.

Qualifications

Ideal Qualifications for the Senior Real Estate Accountant Role

To excel in this position, you should bring the following expertise and mindset:

• Educational Background: A degree in Accounting
• Professional Experience: A minimum of 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting.
• Sector Expertise: Previous experience in commercial real estate is a must (knowledge of CAM and tax recoveries).
• Soft Skills: A collaborative team player with a curious mindset, always looking to learn and improve processes.
