RESPONSABILITÉS

Concevoir et développer les systèmes d'instrumentation et de contrôle : spécifications d'instruments, listes d'instruments, diagrammes de boucles et participation aux P&ID

Sélectionner et dimensionner les instruments (transmetteurs, débitmètres, analyseurs, vannes de contrôle) et préparer les feuilles de spécifications

Concevoir et intégrer les systèmes de contrôle et de sécurité (DCS, PLC, SIS/systèmes instrumentés de sécurité)

Participer aux études de sécurité des procédés (HAZOP, LOPA, détermination et vérification des SIL)

Préparer les documents techniques : réquisitions d'achat, évaluations techniques des soumissions et suivi des fournisseurs

Coordonner avec les autres disciplines (procédés, électrique, mécanique, tuyauterie) pour assurer l'intégration des livrables

Réviser et superviser les livrables de l'équipe et des sous-traitants afin d'assurer la conformité et la qualité

Fournir un soutien technique aux phases de construction, de mise en service (commissioning) et de démarrage

Assurer la conformité aux normes et codes applicables (ISA, IEC, CSA, réglementation locale)

QUALIFICATIONS

Baccalauréat en génie (instrumentation, contrôle, électrique ou domaine connexe)

Membre de l'Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) ou admissibilité à l'obtention du titre

Expérience pertinente en instrumentation et contrôle, idéalement en contexte EPCM ou dans les secteurs industriel, pétrochimique ou minier

Connaissance approfondie des normes ISA, IEC et CSA

Expérience pratique avec les systèmes DCS, PLC et SIS

Bilinguisme (français et anglais), à l'oral et à l'écrit — essentiel pour ce poste

Maîtrise des outils de conception en instrumentation (ex. : SmartPlant Instrumentation / SPI, AutoCAD) un atout

Solides compétences en communication, en coordination et en travail d'équipe

VTEK is looking for an Instrumentation and Control Engineer ready to take on ambitious challenges. You will play a key role in the design, coordination and supervision of instrumentation and control engineering activities, ensuring the quality of all deliverables on major industrial projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and develop instrumentation and control systems: instrument specifications, instrument lists, loop diagrams and participation in P&IDs

Select and size instruments (transmitters, flow meters, analyzers, control valves) and prepare specification sheets

Design and integrate control and safety systems (DCS, PLC, SIS/safety instrumented systems)

Participate in process safety studies (HAZOP, LOPA, SIL determination and verification)

Prepare technical documents: purchase requisitions, technical bid evaluations and vendor follow-up

Coordinate with other disciplines (process, electrical, mechanical, piping) to ensure integration of deliverables

Review and supervise deliverables from the team and subcontractors to ensure compliance and quality

Provide technical support during construction, commissioning and start-up phases

Ensure compliance with applicable standards and codes (ISA, IEC, CSA, local regulations)

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in engineering (instrumentation, control, electrical or a related field)

Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or eligible to obtain the designation

Relevant experience in instrumentation and control, ideally in an EPCM context or in the industrial, petrochemical or mining sectors

Thorough knowledge of ISA, IEC and CSA standards

Hands-on experience with DCS, PLC and SIS systems

Bilingualism (French and English), spoken and written — essential for this position

Proficiency with instrumentation design tools (e.g., SmartPlant Instrumentation / SPI, AutoCAD) is an asset

Strong communication, coordination and teamwork skills
