The Opportunity

As part of the technology team, you'll work alongside other frontend, backend, and mobile engineers, designers, and product managers on the development of several new (and some existing) web and mobile applications for Silverstein internal teams, customers and consumer audiences.

You will join a fast-paced team. From day one you'll be challenged to take risks, think big, and make an impact while working in an awesome work environment with lots of fun and support from the team.

Our engineering leadership supports the team with technical guidance and cross-functional leadership and supports you, individually, with career mentorship and development.

Technologies We Use

• NodeJS and NestJS REST - like APIs for the backend.
• ReactJS and TypeScript single-page applications.
• React Native for cross-platform iOS and Android mobile development.
• PostgreSQL, Redis, ElasticSearch.
• AWS hosting, using RDS, Aurora, SQS, SNS, S3, etc.
• GitHub.
• Digital Identity integration with Apple Wallet and Android NFC virtual badge.
• Various third-party integrations with Stripe, Twilio, and others.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years experience in building single-page applications integrated with RESTful backends, ideally with ReactJS and TypeScript experience.
• Start-up or small team experience in a rapidly growing or changing company with the ability to be quick, flexible, and pragmatic about the tech we're building.
• A strong degree of autonomy, curiosity, humility, and respect for the team.
• Good technical communication skills, both verbal and written. Understanding of what good technical documentation and knowledge management looks like.
• Understanding that with new tech comes cognitive overhead, understanding where to make trade-offs while still making improvements.
• A passion for mentoring and coaching other engineers. We value making each other successful Full-stack candidates absolutely encouraged to apply.

We expect you to be ready for the fast-paced nature of an early start-up company and the needs we have of quickly building and deploying software.
