Junior Project Coordinator
The position is based in Québec City.
Your work with us
- Coordinate the receipt of plans and specifications, and create and maintain an up-to-date list of all plans received.
- Ensure proper assignment of shop drawings upon receipt.
- Keep project drawings up to date (on ShareFile and PlanGrid) and print copies for the construction site office when required.
- Prepare and finalize the minutes of site meetings.
- Ensure that directives and change notices are properly communicated to all stakeholders.
- Maintain an up-to-date list of project subcontractors.
- Take construction site photos as needed.
- Coordinate the receipt of finish samples.
- Prepare, in collaboration with the Project Manager, contracts and project close-out documentation.
- Prepare RFIs (Requests for Information), in collaboration with the Project Manager and Superintendent.
- Distribute consultants' reports to the various trades in collaboration with the Project Manager.
- Receive and distribute inspection reports and follow up on required actions.
- Prepare change orders, including descriptions, details, and pricing, in collaboration with the Project Manager, and ensure the required follow-up.
- Coordinate, together with the Project Manager, the management of technical aspects related to a project.
- Perform additional tasks as required to ensure the successful completion of the project.
What you need
- A DEC (Diploma of College Studies) or AEC (Attestation of College Studies) in Administration, Architecture, or another related field.
- A strong interest in construction site management and coordination.
- Excellent spoken and written French communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project and Excel.
- Ability to prioritize effectively and manage stress well.
- In addition to demonstrating professionalism, you are an excellent communicator and motivator.
