POSITION

We are currently seeking a full-time Junior Electrical Engineer/E.I.T.

Job Summary

Qualified candidates must be able to complete projects in collaboration with other team members, the ability to work independently, applying their engineering knowledge to project work from conceptual design through to completion.

Roles and responsibilities

• Initiate and complete electrical engineering drawings for a multitude of projects
• Perform hands-on designs, calculations, and evaluations to produce deliverables such as hazardous area classifications, single line diagrams, power, lighting and grounding layouts, cable schedules, control and wiring schematics
• Prepare design and contract documents (reports, drawings and specifications)
• Assist in evaluating tenders
• Liaison with vendors and other professionals

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems design including medium and low voltage power distribution
• Minimum 1-3 years’ experience delivering projects in a broad range of sectors including Gas Facilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, meet quick deadlines, and handle multiple projects.
• Possess sound communications skills as demonstrated through client and staff relations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, MS Teams and Outlook)

WHAT WE OFFER

Working conditions are primarily in-office from 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. Occasional field work will be required.
