We are currently sourcing a Senior Software Engineer, DevOps for an established, global enterprise software provider based in the Ottawa region. As a leader in their domain, our client operates multiple offices worldwide to support a mission-critical global client base.
As a Senior DevOps Engineer focusing on Developer Experience (DevEx), your mission is to empower our engineering community to excel in their daily work. You will focus on optimizing developer workflows, enabling rapid solution delivery, and accelerating feedback loops by designing, scaling, and enhancing modern CI/CD pipelines.
This is a permanent, full-time position with one of the region's top employers, known for its collaborative culture, progressive work-life balance, and competitive compensation/perks package. The company operates on a hybrid work model, therefore, only candidates local to the Ottawa area will be considered.
The successful candidate will possess a blend of strong software engineering fundamentals and modern platform engineering expertise.
Education: B.S. degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
Experience: 7+ years of software engineering experience across diverse domains, including full-stack development, DevOps, CI/CD infrastructure, cloud engineering, and platform/SRE engineering
Backend Proficiency: Strong experience with enterprise, object-oriented programming languages such as C# or Java, across both Windows and Linux environments
Infrastructure & Observability: Proven experience with containerization, container orchestration, and modern cloud-native observability, logging, and monitoring ecosystems
Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to thrive autonomously as well as within a highly collaborative team environment
Our client is offering a competitive salary ranging from $110,000 to $130,000, plus bonus, a generous vacation allotment, RRSP matching, and a comprehensive benefits package.
