Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Hybrid Bilingual Senior Project Management Services consultant for our client in Ottawa, ON. This role requires 2 days per week on-site in Ottawa.
Position Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a large enterprise initiative focused on advancing organizational commitments related to Indigenous relations and reconciliation.
Leveraging established project management practices, tools, and frameworks, the successful consultant will provide strategic and operational project management support by aligning stakeholders, coordinating activities across multiple business workstreams, and supporting organizational readiness to enable successful delivery.
This role requires sound judgment, cultural humility, and the ability to work within a complex organizational environment. The successful consultant will collaborate with senior leadership, business stakeholders, internal subject matter experts, employee representatives, external advisors, and cross-functional teams to coordinate work, manage priorities, and support successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Support business leads in prioritizing work, achieving project outcomes, communicating progress, managing risks, documenting decisions, and fostering collaboration.
- Coordinate delivery activities across multiple workstreams while supporting quarterly and annual objectives.
- Monitor project health and ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
Stakeholder Management
- Build strong working relationships with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, technical teams, and external partners.
- Support governance activities, including project reporting, steering committee preparation, risk management, invoice validation, and timesheet processing.
Resource Management
- Coordinate project resources and schedules.
- Manage project financials within Planview, including forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting.
Planning & Execution
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones.
- Coordinate resources and activities to ensure successful delivery.
- Support both predictive and Agile delivery approaches where appropriate.
Risk Management
- Identify, assess, monitor, escalate, and mitigate project risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints.
Communication
- Consolidate information from multiple stakeholders and prepare clear, concise updates and executive-ready reporting materials.
Required Qualifications
Specific Project Requirements
- Experience supporting enterprise-wide organizational change involving senior leadership, cross-functional teams, governance forums, and multiple workstreams.
- Experience supporting strategic initiatives involving Indigenous engagement, organizational change, stakeholder collaboration, corporate responsibility, sustainability, or similarly complex business environments.
- Demonstrated ability to approach work involving Indigenous relations with cultural humility, professionalism, discretion, and respect.
- Experience collaborating with internal subject matter experts, employee representatives, communications teams, HR, corporate functions, business leaders, and external advisors.
- Ability to support senior leadership by translating complex or sensitive topics into practical plans, materials, and recommendations.
- Experience developing and maintaining project plans while adapting priorities as work evolves.
- Ability to coordinate updates across multiple initiative leads and consolidate progress reporting.
- Experience facilitating planning sessions, workshops, and cross-functional meetings.

Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum seven (7) years of project management experience.
- Experience using Azure DevOps.
- Experience using Planview.
- Experience supporting initiatives involving Indigenous engagement, organizational change, stakeholder collaboration, or strategic transformation.
- Experience working within large, complex organizations, public-sector environments, or other highly regulated industries.
- Familiarity with reconciliation frameworks, including the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action, UNDRIP, FPIC, PAIR, or similar frameworks.
- Experience supporting executive governance, portfolio reporting, or enterprise workstream coordination.

- xperience with predictive, waterfall, and Agile project delivery methodologies.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
Compensation
Salary Range
$90.00 – $100.00 per hour
